The Challenge
Eligibility

The Challenge comprises two categories:

  • Junior secondary category (Form 1-3/ Grade 8-10)
  • Senior secondary category (Form 4-5/Grade 11-12)

Each team should comprise 2 to 4 students. Cross-schools or cross-forms / grades in the same category are welcome.

Registration

Deadline: 29 March 2026 (Sunday) (HKT:11:59pm)

Remarks:

  • Participating teams are required to attend all related activities of the Contest scheduled from April to August 2026 to receive relevant information and training.
Workshop
  • 11 April 2026 (Saturday), 9:30am – 1:00pm, Inno Centre, Kowloon Tong
  • A briefing on the key elements of the Competition Ordinance and how it applies to our daily life
  • Sharing of skills and strategies in developing creative content by KOL Heiri Jun
  • Sharing of tips on illustration and storytelling by illustrator Big Y
  • Training on the use of AI by an industry expert
  • All participating students will receive a certificate of participation.
First-round Competition
  • Submission of ONE comic strip
    • Junior category: Each comic strip can include up to six IG images.
    • Senior category: Each comic strip can include up to ten IG images.
    • There is no limitation on the number of panels per IG image.
    • IG Image: vertical 1080 x 1350 pixels / 4:5 aspect ratio
    • The comic strip should illustrate how the Competition Ordinance safeguards market competition for the benefit of businesses and consumers, highlighting at least one of the following anti-competitive conduct: Bid-Rigging, Price Fixing, Market Sharing.
    • The comic strip can be hand drawn, computer-generated or AI-generated.
    • Participating teams are allowed to use any software or AI platforms to assist their productions.
    • Language of posts can be in Chinese or English
    • The target audience of the comic strips should be Hong Kong residents.
  • Submission channel: Participating teams should submit their comic strip together with a submission form (click here to download the form) to https://jahk.org/ptc/submission.
  • Deadline of submission: 17 May 2026 (Sunday) (HKT:11:59pm)

Remarks:

  • The submission time of an entry is based on the time of receipt by Junior Achievement Hong Kong. Late submissions will not be accepted. Junior Achievement Hong Kong is not liable in any way for any loss, delay or transmission error during the submission of entries.
Announcement of Shortlisted Teams
  • 10 June 2026 (Wednesday)

Final-round Competition
  • Content Enhancement
    • 22 June 2026 to 14 July 2026 (1 to 2 coaching session(s) per team)
    • Shortlisted teams (up to 8 teams in each category) will be provided with professional advice to polish up their entries.
  • 7-day Show Time – Online Battle
    • 21 – 27 July 2026
    • The entries of the finalist teams will be posted on the “Post to Compete” Instagram account. The Collab function will be used so that the entries will also appear on respective teams’ accounts for online battling.
    • Participating teams are required to provide their Instagram account, accept the Collab invitation, and maintain the collaboration until 31 August 2027.
    • Participating teams may promote the post on other social media platforms and encourage the audience to engage with the post to maximise outreach.
    • The total social media reach and engagement will be calculated based on the figures shown on the “Post to Compete” Instagram account.

Remarks:

  • Paid advertising on the social media posts of the comic strips is prohibited. Participating teams will be disqualified and/or ineligible for prizes if they pay to boost their posts.
  • If a finalist team fails to accept the Collab invitation within the specified time, the Co-organisers reserve the right to determine the team’s eligibility.
  • If a participating team receives any public enquiry or complaint related to the Competition Ordinance or the Competition Commission on its social media channels or platforms, they should refer it to the Commission for follow-up.
